The One who formed man from the dust of the earth and breathed into man the breath of life and man became a living soul. Every once in awhile we are privileged to hear or experience an artist’s work and we admit that our souls are blessed.
I think there are times when we struggle with who we are and where we come from and need to be reminded, the Creator asking, “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me how much you really understand? Where are the foundations anchored and where is the cornerstone placed?” “Were you there that first morning when the morning stars sang together for the first time and all the human beings who followed shouted for joy? Who formed the oceans and sky and made the night time an adornment?” Who decreed their places and established the barriers each would occupy and ordered both that they would come no farther?” “Who is in control of your days upon the earth? Do you know where the springs are that feed the seas and walked in their depths? Do you know where the gates of death are or even seen the shadow of death? Do you know and have you investigated the depths of the earth? Tell me if you can.” “Have you entered the treasures of the snow or even considered the treasures of the hail? Can you prophesy the path of the lightening or cause the rain? Out of whose bosom comes the ice and the hoary frost? Do you know the ordinances of heaven and can you establish dominion over the earth? Can you order the clouds and bring the abundance of rain? Can you send the lightning? Have you numbered the clouds since the beginning of time? Do you provide the raven his food?” Every once in a while, messages carried by messengers inspired by a greater mission come to remind us of whose we are and where we come from. I remember a line of a song and I am paraphrasing it now... “Let my life, Creator, be a sweet, sweet sound in your ear!”
